Temp Worker and Fairness Safety Act--and What You Can Do About It
Chicago Sun Times
January 24, 2023
Illinois state Assembly members announced Monday they plan to introduce a bill called the “Temp Worker and Fairness Safety Act,” the Chicago Sun-Times reported. The legislation would make it easier for temporary workers to sue staffing firms, unionize and strike, according to comments by an attorney interviewed for the article. It would also make it more difficult for staffing firms to use noncompete clauses and other tactics to discourage workers from moving to permanent employment with a client.
Keynote
Toby Malara will review Illinois and National legislation that may impact your business.
