    Toby Malara is Government Affairs Counsel for the American Staffing Association. In his role, he handles all staffing-related legislation and regulation and represents the industry’s interests before Congress and state legislatures. He provides government relations advice and counsel to ASA’s affiliated state organizations and directs the association’s political fundraising activities through its political action committee, StaffingPAC.


    Malara graduated from Georgetown University with a B.A. in Government Affairs and History and received his law degree from Catholic University. He is a member of the Maryland Bar.





    Felix Gonzalez is the managing partner at Archer Law Group and has ten years experience representing clients and business owners. He is a graduate of Fenwick High School in Oak Park, attended the University of Illinois where he received a BA in Philosophy, He is a graduate of the University of Illinois College of Law.

    Having counseled clients at other firms using the typical attorney client model, he decided to create a law firm responsive to the needs of the client and focused on helping them grow. The Archer Law Group acts as general counsel to small and medium sized businesses in the areas of Corporate, Employment, Litigation and Real Estate. We work with clients by evaluating key areas of the business for which a legal strategy is necessary for the long term success and sustainability of the business.

    Felix is a past Board member of the Hispanic Lawyers’ Association of Illinois, is on the associate board of the Daniel Murphy Scholarship Foundation, is a Director with Health Care Alternative Systems (HAS), and is currently President of the Hispanic Lawyers Association of Illinois Charities.




    Jill O'Brien is an Equity Partner at Laner Muchin LTD, a member of the Firm’s Executive Committee and the firm’s Hiring Chairperson.

    Throughout her 30 years of practice, Jill has focused on the representation of public and private sector employers in a wide variety of labor relations and employment matters, including collective bargaining negotiations, grievance handling, mediation and interest arbitration hearings. She also defends employers in employment disputes and labor proceedings in court and before agencies such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Illinois Department of Human Rights, Illinois Human Rights Commission, Chicago Human Rights Commission, the Illinois Department of Labor, and the National Labor Relations Board.

    She also counsels employers and offers management training programs concerning day-to-day labor and employment and human resource issues such as terminations, disciplinary issues, leaves of absence, policy issues, wage and hour issues.





    Jamie Glanz is the Senior Vice President of Claims at Assurance. With more than 20 years’ experience, Jamie is an expert in mitigating third party claims by reducing claim duration and incurred expenses. Throughout her career, she has managed claims across multiple lines of coverage and industries, including construction, governmental agencies, healthcare, manufacturing and retail. Jamie is responsible for providing leadership and oversight to our Claims Team to ensure the flawless execution of our service platform and she continually seeks out new solutions to assist her team in managing and mitigating our clients’ losses.


    Jamie has a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Safety. She is a designated Senior Claims Law Associate and was named Assurance’s 2010 Employee of the Year.



    Adam Bryant is a Safety Advocate at Assurance. His main responsibility is to identify safety hazards and provide solutions to help minimize risk. This includes inspecting workplaces to ensure compliance with federal, state and local safety codes, as well as evaluating programs, identifying problems in workstations, offices and other spaces, investigating incidents, writing safety manuals and policies and providing training. He’s worked with over 500 employers across several different industries to help create and establish safety programs from scratch or supplement and refine existing programs.

    Adam graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. He majored in Risk Management and Insurance and minored in Finance. He holds the following insurance designations: Construction Risk Insurance Specialist (CRIS), UL Recognized Risk Engineer (RRE) and Commercial Lines Coverage Specialist (CLCS). Adam is also an active member of the National Fire Protection Agency, American Society of Safety Engineers and National Safety Council.
